Virtual Crabber Workshop

June 30, 2022 @6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Virtual Crabber Workshop Hosted on June 30th by the Northwest Straits Foundation

The Northwest Straits Foundation is here to help you prepare for the crabbing season. Each year an estimated 12,000 crab pots are lost in Puget Sound. These lost pots continue to capture crab with no one there to harvest them resulting in nearly 180,000 Dungeness crab lost each year. Thanks to the work of the Northwest Straits Foundation, crabbers are learning how to prevent themselves from adding to the problem so they can Catch More Crab.

On June 30th at 6:00 p.m. PST the Northwest Straits Foundation is partnering with Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife to host a virtual crabber workshop where you can learn about the 2022 Puget Sound crabbing season, regulations, and receive pro tips on how to be a successful crabber. Questions are encouraged and will be answered live on the webinar.

Registration for this free workshop is required.
