Phoebe Berghout

Phoebe hails from the rocky coastlines and lush redwoods of Northern California. After arriving in Seattle to study Aquatic & Fishery Science and Environmental Science at the University of Washington, they chased a curiosity for restoration working on salmon habitat projects in the Green River. Phoebe has also worked as a backcountry guide and climbing instructor. When guiding, they love meeting new people, sharing outdoor experiences, and cooking elaborate meals on a camp stove. Phoebe enjoys collaging, bike racing, live music, berry picking, and a delicious baked good. They are looking forward to working with coastal communities throughout the Salish Sea to build climate resilience and learning more about eelgrass.
