Most of the data and information we collect through our website is used only to help Northwest Straits Foundation achieve its mission of protecting and restoring the health of Northwest Straits’ marine resources.  It is our policy to collect and store only personal information that our visitors knowingly provide.

When you voluntarily provide information through one of the contact forms, we use your information to respond to your interest(s). We may also use it to alert you to opportunities we think you and/or your organization may be interested in.

From casual web site visitors and general users. We do not collect any personal information from users browsing our web site. When you use the public areas of our website you are doing so anonymously. We do collect aggregate use information, such as the number of hits (visits) per page through Google Analytics. We use aggregate data for internal and marketing purposes, but we don’t collect any personally identifying information.

From our clients, donors and other supporters. If while visiting our website you make a donation, register to attend an event, or sign up to receive our newsletter or volunteer, you will be asked to provide certain information. In all cases, providing this information is voluntary. In most cases, Northwest Straits Foundation asks for name, title, address, telephone, and e-mail. If you’re making a donation, you may be asked for credit card information. This information is not shared beyond the Northwest Straits Foundation.

Donor List

Our donor list is not for sale. When you visit our website or become a donor to Northwest Straits Foundation, your name and mailing information will not be sold.

Credit Card Account Information

Northwest Straits Foundation utilizes secure transaction methods (SSL) when collecting credit card information over the Internet. We do not disclose credit card account information provided by our donors except with the online payment processor to securely process the transaction.

Throughout our web pages, we may provide links to other servers or social media sites that contain information of interest to our readers. We take no responsibility for and exercise no control over the organizations, views, or accuracy of the information contained on other servers.
