Garry Oak is an iconic native tree often associated with prairies in the PNW. Their deep tap roots offer erosion control, while acorns and canopy cover offer food and shade for native mammals, fish, and birds. 

Growing up to 75 ft tall, Garry Oak is easily identified by its acorns and lobed leaves. Its acorns have been an important food source for indigenous people since time immemorial.
