Toxic to livestock and pets, removal of this class A noxious weed is required state-wide. They are aggressive and opportunistic plants that outcompete native vegetation. Identified by rigid branches that can grow up to six feet tall, broad, marbled leaves, and spines covering every part of the plant. 

Carefully remove and bag flowerheads to avoid seed dispersal. Then cut down to base and dig roots. Gloves highly recommended due to spikes and toxins.
