This annual succulent grows on shores and banks due to its ability to tolerate sea spray and seawater inundation. It attracts a variety of pollinators. 

Sea Rocket grows two types of lobed leaves, both with a fleshy texture and strong odor when crushed. They bare small flowers that vary from white to purple, and seed capsules containing two yellow seeds.
