Growing in wet coastlands to arid inlands, silverweed are most known for their pop of yellow and their silky-woolly sheen. It is said to have anti-inflammatory effects. 

Their yellow flowers grow on leafless stalks while the leaf surfaces are green and their undersides are whitish.
