Citizen Science Monitoring

Following the completion of a nearshore restoration project, we will continue to monitor changes in habitat and habitat usage such as forage fish spawning and large woody debris accumulation. This data allows us to interpret how our restoration efforts are affecting the nearshore ecosystem. Volunteers play a critical role in gathering this information. Our well trained and dedicated volunteers follow standardized protocols to conduct monitoring surveys and have provided over 5,800 hours of volunteer service to date.
